I am 68 yrs old. I was born in Clark County as was my Dad and Grandfather before me. My Parents, George and Lucille, moved to Mad River Township, Enon, in 1958. I grew up here along with my 3 sisters and 1 brother. I worked at Young’s Jersey Dairy, the old Enon store, before graduating from Greenon High School in 1974. I attended Wright State, Central State, and Clark State colleges. Growing up, my Dad coached Enon Little League and Girl’s Softball, so our family was active in the community, spending a lot of time at the old Indian Valley Ball fields and those at Enon Elementary. I was my Dad’s scorekeeper. I am married to Fred Shuirr, a retired school teacher. I have 3 adult sons and 1 stepson along with 4 daughter-in-laws and 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 5 yrs to 17 yrs. I am retired from the City of Springfield Police Dept. where I worked in emergency patrol for twenty-five years.
